About the Role
We are looking for a kind, patient and reliable carer to support our daughter, who has additional needs. The role involves providing after-school care on weekdays, with additional hours available at weekends and during school holidays.
You will play an important part in her daily routine, supporting her wellbeing, safety and independence while ensuring she has fun, engaging, and meaningful activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Collecting from school (where required) and providing care in the home or community
• Supporting with personal care needs (if applicable)
• Assisting with meals, snacks and drinks
• Encouraging play, hobbies, and social activities suited to her interests and abilities
• Providing emotional support, patience, and encouragement
• Ensuring her safety and wellbeing at all times
• Working in partnership with parents to follow routines, therapies or care plans

Essential:

• Caring, patient and understanding nature
• Reliable, trustworthy, and responsible
• Good communication skills
• Willingness to learn about and respond to our daughter’s specific needs

Desirable:

• Experience working with children or young people with additional needs
• Training in first aid, manual handling, or safeguarding (training can be provided)
• Full driving licence and access to a car
