JOB OVERVIEW

The Crook and Shears in Upper Clatford are seeking a part time Chef to join the current chef and team. You will be someone who has experience in producing good quality home-made dishes that meet the needs of our guests. Level 2 food hygiene would be desirable, along with understanding of food hygiene and food safety standards. This role is to work alongside the chef (Landlady) in a small country pub kitchen.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the Pub and hospitality industry is desirable.
  • Strong culinary skills with a solid understanding of food preparation techniques.
  • Experience in working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices is crucial.
  • Excellent in working as part of a small team with skills to motivate and inspire others.

    Pay: £12.21-£15.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Carry out all aspects of food preparation and cooking, ensuring that dishes are prepared to the highest standards.

  • Develop and implement menus alongside the landlady that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Assist all staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen procedures.
  • Assist in kitchen performance, making adjustments as necessary to improve efficiency and quality.
