Location: CityGate Grille Department: CityGate Grille Reports to: General Manager Status: Hourly Non-Exempt Compensation Range: $9.00/hour plus gratuity, commensurate with experience and education Age Requirements: Must be 16+ Role Summary: The Food Runner is responsible for creating an excellent dining experience for each CityGate Grille guest through positive personal interaction and timely service. The ideal candidate has a confident demeanor and embodies the spirit of hospitality. The ideal candidate is able to work nights, weekends and holidays. Responsibilities: 1. Works as part of a cohesive front of house team to provide quality service. 2. Responsible for keeping the pace of service. 3. Removes items and cleans dining room tables in a timely manner according to protocol. 4. Prompt and correct delivery of food orders to the dining room tables as necessary. *This job description is not an exclusive or exhaustive list of all job functions that an employee in this position may be asked to perform. Minimum Qualifications: Education 1. Illinois Food Handler Certification is preferred. Experience 1. One year of related restaurant experience is preferred. 2. Knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures. Skills 1. Neat and clean appearance. 2. Ability to work in a team environment. 3. Must have a flexible schedule and be available to work nights weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements 1. Must be able to walk and stand for up to 8 hours a day, with or without reasonable accommodation 2. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill job duties 3.
