We are looking for a Class 1 Shunter Driver to join us on a part-time basis, working 05:30-14:30, Thursday and Friday of each week,

What’s more, this is a site-based role that does not require extensive travel!
The Role
As a Class 1 Shunter Driver, you will support operations at our client’s Derby site by managing the movement of trailers.
Specifically, you will drive a TUG tractor unit and manoeuvre trailers throughout the site to ensure logistics operations are smooth and efficient.

Additionally, you will:

• Use a handheld device to get instructions for your workload
• Effectively communicate with the transport office
• Provide excellent customer service to our client

About You

To be considered as a Class 1 Shunter Driver you will need:

• An LGV Class 1 licence with a minimum of 12 months’ commercial driving experience
• No more than 6 points on your licence
• A CPC Driver qualification
• A current Digital Tachograph Card
• Good working knowledge of working time regulations
• Flexibility around working hours to fit around the needs of the business
