QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Demonstrated experience in cleaning or custodial services, preferably within a residential or commercial building environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Physical capability to perform duties involving bending, stooping, lifting up to 45 kg (100 lbs) safely, and standing for extended periods.
  • Reliable and punctual.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Building Superintendent, the Part-Time Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within the building’s common areas. Key duties include:

  • Routine cleaning of all common areas, including but not limited to lobbies, hallways, stairwells, laundry rooms, and designated amenity spaces.
  • Execution of cleaning tasks such as: Mopping, vacuuming, and carpet shampooing. Floor washing and polishing. Wiping and sanitizing surfaces, handrails, and fixtures. Cleaning glass and mirrors. Waste receptacle emptying.
  • Assisting with garbage, recycling, and composting bin management as required.
  • Reporting any observed maintenance deficiencies or issues to the Building Superintendent.
  • Adherence to all applicable legislation, including Health and Safety Standards, WHMIS, AODA, PIPEDA, and Human Rights policies.
  • Other cleaning-related duties as assigned.
