ABOUT NHV

At NHV Natural Pet Products, we believe food is a powerful form of care—and that pets deserve the same quality, love, and nutrition we’d want for any family member. That’s why we’ve launched a fresh pet food line made with ethically sourced meats and rescued produce to nourish pets in a more sustainable and holistic way.
We’re looking for a mission-aligned culinary chef to help bring this vision to life in our South Granville kitchen. You’ll work closely with our culinary, marketing and veterinary team who are passionate about advancing pet wellness through real, whole foods.

Responsibilities

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

As part of our kitchen team, you’ll contribute directly to product development that supports the health of dogs and cats. Every batch made is a step toward better nutrition, less waste, and deeper care. This is a meaningful opportunity for someone who wants their culinary skills to have a lasting impact beyond the plate.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment, is open to evolving processes, and brings a balance of precision, creativity, and adaptability. There is a strong administrative component—forms, certifications, and compliance are key parts of the job alongside recipe testing and small-batch production.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Support small-batch production and assist in testing new recipes
  • Work across all areas of food preparation and packaging with attention to quality and consistency
  • Help handle important administrative tasks including certifications, kitchen compliance, and inventory tracking
  • Collaborate with our kitchen team and veterinary team and marketing team to refine formulations for optimal pet health
  • Ideation, innovation and R&D
  • Maintain a clean, organized kitchen that meets the highest safety and sanitation standards
  • Participate in product innovation—researching ingredients and helping create meals pets love
  • Embrace feedback and iteration as part of a thoughtful, evolving process
  • Help source ingredients, and manage inventory
  • Help with production scheduling
