Description Position Type: Part Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt Location: Nashville, TN Schedule: Evenings and Weekends MISSION: (The essence of the job) The Part Time Custodian is responsible for keeping all areas clean, safe, and well-maintained. This includes cleaning rehearsal rooms, common areas, restrooms, and occasionally assisting with light maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, is dependable, and understands the importance of a clean and welcoming space for our clients. OUTCOMES: (What must get done and how will we measure success) • Clean and sanitize restrooms, lobby, common areas, and assist in cleaning rehearsal rooms as needed • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust as needed throughout the facility • Empty trash and recycling bins regularly • Restock restroom supplies and studio amenities • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management • Ensure cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained • Follow studio safety and cleaning protocols, especially for shared equipment • Maintain a clean working environment at all times and in all areas Requirements CRITICAL • Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred, especially in a commercial building • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively • Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness • Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe usage • Ability to communicate effectively • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed CULTURAL • Strong ability to work with people and form relationships • Open to continuous learning in a dynamic environment, willingness to pivot as business needs shift • Ability to remain calm in difficult and/or complex situations and maintain an action oriented, problem-solving mindset • Demonstrate pride and ownership in your work PHYSICAL • Frequent moving pushing or lifting equipment and materials up to 30 lbs. • Frequent walking throughout campus but may remain stationary for long periods of time • Frequent use of manual dexterity • Ability to reach, grasp, walk, bend, or stand for extended periods • Frequent exposure to chemicals • Occasional exposure to loud music, fog, and lasers In addition to the functions listed above, the employee is expected to exercise honesty, integrity and respect with all clients and co-workers, maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, maintain good attendance by working when and where directed, respect the work environment and keep it as neat and clean as possible.
