Halenda’s Fine Food is a well-known and respected establishment offering high-quality meats, prepared foods, and exceptional service. We are looking for a motivated and dedicated Kitchen Staff / Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a key player in our store, you will be involved in a variety of tasks that support both kitchen operations and customer service, ensuring a seamless and pleasant experience for our valued customers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience in food preparation or customer service is an asset but not required.
  • Ability to handle food safely and efficiently.
  • Strong multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize in a busy setting.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Cash handling experience is an asset.
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their purchases, answering questions, and ensuring they are satisfied with their experience.
  • Dishwashing & Cleaning: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, as well as keeping the store neat and tidy.
  • Multitasking: Effectively juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Product Placement: Ensure the store’s self-serve areas are stocked with products, replenishing stock as needed.
  • Cash Handling: Operate the cash register, process transactions accurately, and handle cash in accordance with company policies.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook various menu items such as burgers, souvlaki, shish kebabs, and other delicious offerings in accordance with Halenda’s recipes and standards.
  • Slicer Handling: Use the slicer to prepare meats and other items with precision, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Packaging & Pricing: Package prepared products and label them with accurate pricing, ensuring that all items are ready for display and sale.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe and clean work environment for yourself and customers.
