Join us as a Part-Time Deli Clerk! We are looking for an energetic, community-oriented and experienced individual to work as a Deli Clerk at our Germantown location. This position is part-time with an anticipated 20-29 hours per week. Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends, is required. If you have experience working in a team setting and a passion for great food, then we want to hear from you! Responsibilities Include Providing responsive, exceptional service to deli counter customers by answering questions, making recommendations, providing samples, and responding to requests. Recommending, slicing, weighing, packaging, and pricing meats and cheeses. Updating displays, cases, and other customer-facing areas to ensure new items and promotions are showcased. Ensuring that work areas are ready to service customers by cleaning surfaces, equipment, and floors, removing trash, and confirming that tools are in working order. Following all food safety and sanitation procedures established by the company and other regulatory agencies. Cooperating with others to ensure customer satisfaction. Confirming that all displays, products, and services comply with company standards. Requirements Flexible Availability, including evenings and weekends. A commitment to the mission and goals of Weavers Way Co-op. Deli counter or food preparation experience. Dedication to a high-level of customer service. Experience with commercial deli equipment, such as slicers, is preferred. Great attention to detail. Good communication and people skills. The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. The ability to remain standing for extended periods of time. Be, or become upon hiring, a member in good standing of Weavers Way Co-op.

Responsibilities

The Deli Clerk provides exceptional service by assisting customers with product recommendations, slicing, and packaging meats and cheeses. They are also responsible for maintaining clean work areas and ensuring all displays comply with food safety and company standards.
