JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and organized part-time Dental Receptionist to expand our existing front desk team!
This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling. We’re happy to work with the right candidate to design a schedule that fits both our office needs and their lifestyle. Our goal is to create a mutually supportive arrangement!
The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our dental clinic! The Dental Receptionist will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth patient flow and maintaining accurate records.

  • Excellent customer service skills, demonstrating patience and empathy in patient interactions.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues to create a supportive and efficient work environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail (for accurate documentation and scheduling).
  • Proficiency in dental terminology and dental procedures
  • Experience using dental software; efficient keyboard typing skills
  • Familiarity with insurance plans, ie/private insurance, CDCP, Accerta, etc for filing claims and verifying patient eligibility / coverage
    Job Type: Part-time
    Pay: $21.00-$26.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 16 – 30 per week

Responsibilities
  • Greet patients warmly and manage the front desk operations efficiently.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the dental office calendar using Tracker software (training is available!)
  • Verify patient insurance information ahead of appointments
  • Collect payments and coordinate insurance claims
  • Maintain accurate patient records (everything is digital! No paper filing!)
  • Handle multi-line phone systems, addressing patient inquiries with professionalism and courtesy
  • Ensure compliance with health information management standards and maintain confidentiality of patient information
