Community Living North Halton is a non-profit organization that supports individuals with developmental disabilities in the North Halton area since 1955. We are looking to grow our team with skilled Support Workers who have the vision to empower others to reach their full potential. In this role, you can expect to work alongside individuals with developmental disabilities, by providing professional support while engaging in activities within their community. These positions will support our Saturday Center program that supports children and youth with a developmental disability. The program runs from September to June, on Saturdays wroking from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diploma in human services field
  • 2 years related experience (Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Valid Ontario Full G License and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Experience working with school aged children and youth with special needs in educational, recreational or suppportive care settings is essential
  • Certification in CPR/First Aid with AED

  • Familiarity with inclusive programming and positive behaviour support strategies is considered an asset
  • Experience in providing direct care, supervision and meaningful engagement to children and youth with developmental disabilities, ensuring a safe, supporting and inclusive atmosphere throughout probram activities
