Overview The Direct Support Facilitator has the goal of helping build great lives for the individuals, their families and the community we serve by fostering an enriching and responsive community participation environment. Working as members of a larger connection of supports, Direct Support Facilitators – Community Participation will collaborate with other staff members to implement meaningful development plans and programming/activity schedules that flow from a client centered philosophy. Pay rate :29.28 This is an existing vacancy Hours of Work :Monday to Friday – 10:00am – 2:00pm Qualifications DSW, SSW or Social Sciences degree or diploma in a related field. Two (2) years recent experience working with adults with a developmental disability preferred. Strong commitment to the individuals supported by Community Living Hamilton Positive attitude and a true appreciation for diverse abilities A valid driver’s licence, clean driver’s abstract and access to a reliable vehicle to facilitate travel to various sites Valid First Aid/CPR Certification Valid NVCI Certification Additional consideration will be given to candidates possessing: Core Competencies: Core Competencies Advocating for Others Helping builds understanding and awareness to remove barriers and achieve inclusion.
