  • Australian Driver License
  • the right to work in Australia, and
  • The ability to get a First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certificate if you don’t already have one.

A Certificate IV in Disability, relevant work experience or an interest in community services would be great, if you already have any of these. If not, don’t worry as Yooralla provides excellent training and support, and can even support you to work and study. You may even find you have some transferable skills to bring to the role.
You will be subject to NDIS Worker Screening.

Responsibilities

ROLE 1 – TUES & WED 10AM-2PM, ROLE 2 WILL BE MON 10AM – 2PM & FRI 1PM-5PM

So what will you actually be doing as a Disability Support Worker (DSW) in Community Access? This rewarding role supports adults with disability one-on-one or in groups, in their homes and in the community. You will work closely with individuals to implement personalised plans that address their unique needs and goals. No one work day (or night) will be the same! You might support clients with:

  • working towards their goals
  • shopping, appointments and events
  • daily living and personal care needs, including assistance with meal assistance/preparation, personal hygiene and mobility
  • transporting clients in own vehicl
