Description Kimberton Whole Foods is looking for Part-Time Cafe Utility Team Members to join the team! Weekly Requirements: Part-time, up to 24 hours a week. One weekend shift is required each week. Shifts Available: 3 shifts per week- 4-8 hour shifts starting at 7:30am Pay: $15-$17 hourly to start, depending on experience Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older. Benefits: Part-time team members are eligible for a 15% store discount after 60 days and a 401K with matching 3% after one year and 1000 hours worked Daily Operations: Wash dishes, pots and pans. Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes and silverware. Wash, peel, and cut various foods, such as fruits and vegetables, Slice meats and cheeses. Assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks as needed and provide cooks with needed items. Sweep and mop floor. Remove trash and recycling and clean kitchen waste containers. Requirements Physical Capabilities: Full sense range (vision, hearing and sense of smell) – the ability to read product labels, distinguish color & smell for quality control as well as the ability to communicate with the customers and co-workers. Lifting, gripping and carrying objects – up to 50-75 pounds frequently, including boxes, cans, tools and other products. Stooping, squatting, & kneeling – stoop and maneuver to pick up boxes from shelving and carts. Walking – short distances to bring items from miscellaneous areas. Standing- prolonged standing. Work environment – movement based with the majority of time being in motion (walking & standing) rather that sedentary (sitting). Climate – ability to work in cold environments (cooler, Freezer, back stock area) and handle cold products for extended periods of time on a regular basis.
Responsibilities
The role involves daily operations such as washing dishes, pots, and pans, cleaning and sanitizing work areas and equipment, and preparing food by washing, peeling, cutting fruits and vegetables, and slicing meats and cheeses. Team members will also assist kitchen staff, sweep floors, and manage trash and recycling removal.
