The Peace River School Division is seeking applications for a Part-Time (0.87 f.t.e.) Educational Assistant at T. A. Norris Middle School. This position will commence on September 15, 2025 and continue until June 26th, 2026. The successful candidate will provide one one-on-one support for our students.
The school is located in the town of Peace River and serves students from grades 5-8. The school offers a high quality core academic program, consisting of English, French Immersion and French Second Language and a wide range of exploratory courses which include Art, Drama, Home Economics and Band.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Educational Assistant Certificate or equivalent.
• Experience and/or training working with student in school setting.
• Ability to work with children with varied ages, skills level, needs and abilities.

SKILLS:

• Willingness to be part of a learning team, take direction and follow programs without direct supervision.
• Willingness to attend training and professional development opportunities on individual learning and complex learning needs.
• Ability to be flexible to the changing classroom environment and individual child needs
• Ability to manage and organize programming and keep records.
• Good communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively with teachers.
• Assets: This school offers French programming to its students, knowledge of the French language is considered an asset.
