Canyon School requires a part-time Educational Assistant to start on Tuesday, August 26, 2025. This position is 25 hours per week, including Fridays. Under the direction of the classroom teacher, Student Support and Administrative teams, the successful candidate will provide one-on-one, small group, and class wide student support in inclusive classroom settings.

Desired qualifications include the following:

• Experience working in an inclusive educational setting
• Demonstrates an understanding of self-regulation, and has experience utilizing self-regulation tools with students
• Ability to work independently to follow goals and implement strategies as determined by the school team and service providers, along with data collection as required
• Certification from accredited Teaching Assistant Program or equivalent
• SIVA training/certification or equivalent, is an asset
• Demonstrates an ability to build relationships with students who require patience and flexibility with programming
• Ability to work collaboratively with the School Support Team and outside agencies

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
