QUALIFICATIONSREQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Teaching experience in early elementary (K–2)
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Experience supporting literacy development in young children
• Familiarity with phonics-based reading instruction or structured literacy approaches

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a part-time K–2 English Teacher, you will provide instruction in foundational English Language Arts, focusing on literacy development, reading comprehension, early writing skills, and classroom collaboration. You will work closely with French immersion teachers to align curriculum and support student success across both languages.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons aligned with academic standards
• Focus on early literacy skills, including phonics, reading fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing
• Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners, including emerging bilinguals
• Create a warm, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
• Collaborate with French-speaking teaching partners to coordinate student learning across languages
• Assess student progress and communicate regularly with families and colleagues
• Participate in staff meetings, parent communication, and professional development as needed
