Description SUMMARY The Part Time Event Setup Technician supports the setup, operation, and breakdown of indoor and outdoor events, including staging, seating, load-in, show run, and load-out activities. Responsibilities include maintaining clean and organized event and storage areas, assisting with equipment maintenance, operating company vehicles and material-handling equipment, and working at elevated heights as needed. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Facilitate the setting up of stages and chairs. Support a clean and orderly environment by emptying trash containers, picking up trash, pressure washing bleachers, etc. Provide support at indoor and outdoor show sites involving load-in, show run, and load-out. Prep and post event review for shows and events through strong efforts while working in a warehouse environment. Ensure efficient processes and quality of work for the maintenance of bathroom cleaning, window washing, picking up trash, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming. Assist with equipment maintenance and repair Support work at elevated levels of five feet or higher using man lifts, ladders or catwalks. Facilitate the operation of automatic and manual company vehicles up to 26-foot non-CDL box trucks. Ensure a high level of compliance to safety policies and department protocols are followed and enforced. Read and interpret work orders or receive verbal instructions to determine work assignments, materials, or equipment needs. Record numbers of units handled or moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets. Drive operational excellence by managing the moving of freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas also including loading docks, delivery vehicles, or containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, or other equipment. Facilitate the maintenance of equipment storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected (load, unload, stack containers, materials, products) Additional duties as needed. The FSFA is an EOE and a Drugfree workplace Requirements QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS: High School diploma or equivalent required. Experience with small equipment operations and mechanical skills preferred. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds consistently. Valid Driver's License required and must meet company vehicle driving standards. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to take direction from management and clients as well as work as part of a team in an event production situation Ability to operate small equipment such as a forklift, loader, scissor lift, high reach and floor scrubber Ability to use power tools Strong customer and communication service skills Must maintain a polished appearance during events while working with public Must be able to work nights and weekends on short notice. PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS: Duties are not performed primarily in an office setting. Sometimes operates computer and standard office equipment, such as telephone and copier/printer. Must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, taste/smell, and lift of move (more than 20 pounds). Environmental demands include exposure to wet/humidity, works near mechanical parts, work in high place, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, extreme temperatures (non-weather), and risk of electrical shock.
