Wear Referrals (part of Linnaeus Veterinary Limited, owned by Mars) is a multi-disciplinary, specialist veterinary referral hospital in the North East of England, close to the historic university city of Durham, the thriving city of Newcastle, and set between the north east coast and the Pennines. Our specialist services include neurology, orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, anaesthesia, oncology, diagnostic imaging and cardiology, as well as a busy primary care out-of-hours emergency service and in-house physiotherapy and hydrotherapy.
We have a vacancy for a Facilities, Maintenance and Safety Coordinator. The successful applicant will oversee and coordinate all facilities, health and safety and general maintenance issues in the hospital and surrounding grounds.
This varied ‘hands on role’ will include some basic maintenance duties, as well as managing onsite works, sourcing, booking and overseeing external contractors and conducting everyday health and safety checks and tests to ensure compliance. Specialist facilities and health & safety advice is available from a central team for complex issues.
The role is 24 hours per week, spread over 5 days Mon- Fri with flexibility on times of work to suit both the applicant and business needs.
