· Morning: 7:30am – 9:30am (Monday to Friday)
· Evening: 4:30pm – 6:30pm (Monday to Friday)
Applicant must be willing to cover cleaner duties during holidays and sickness.
We are looking for a reliable, proactive, and trustworthy individual to join our team as part-time Facilities Manager. This roles is vital in ensuring our premises is secure, well-maintained and clean for daily use. The role will involve key holding responsibilities and require a high level of trust and independence.
This role might suit an active retiree or an individual who is able to commit to flexible working patterns.

Responsibilities
  • Open and close the building: including the main gate, side gate, and steel shutters.
  • Manage building alarms upon entry and exit; ensure the premises are securely locked and alarms are armed at the end of the day.
  • Prepare the building each morning for use: Open blinds, turn on corridor lights, check radiators and air conditioning.
  • Maintain compliance of third party contracts including scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs, and maintaining an adequate inventory of parts
  • Set up rooms for clients, as per instructions written on whiteboards.
  • Maintain external areas: Sweep leaves, remove litter and cobwebs, clean bin areas, empty cigarette bin.
  • In summer, arrange and clean outdoor furniture, keep patio tidy, and water plants.
  • Conduct weekly safety and equipment checks including fire alarms, fire extinguishers, carbon monoxide detectors, generator, urinal power balls.
  • Carry out light maintenance and ad-hoc tasks: including sourcing contractors and suppliers where needed
  • Replace lamps, oil padlocks and gates, spread salt in icy conditions.
  • Monitor and request cleaning or maintenance supplies when required.
  • Undertake any other duties necessary to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of the building.
