Description We’re looking for a Friendly Neighborhood Facilities Hero to keep our building running smoothly and save the day behind the scenes. In this role, you’ll take on everything from managing waste and maintaining the building exterior through all seasons to handling basic repairs, light janitorial tasks, and keeping supplies stocked and ready. You’ll respond to facilities tickets with speed and precision, help move equipment when needed, and ensure a safe, well-maintained environment for everyone. Wage: $17.50/hr Requirements Emptying garbage and cardboard containers regularly according to procedures. Maintain exterior of the building as needed during all seasons including lawnmowing, trimming, snow blowing, shoveling, salting sidewalks. Responsible for regular checks and timely responses within the Facilities ticket system, responding with estimated timelines, follow-up questions. Basic building maintenance. Including, but not limited to, bulb changes, painting, and basic repairs. Occasional builds may be required. Light janitorial duties within the warehouse facility and the office space as needed and as requested. Maintain supplies in the break rooms, office supply rooms, and notify manager when replenishment is needed. Able to maintain a safe workspace, paying attention to best practices and OSHA safety regulations. Assist with equipment and tables/desk moves when appropriate. Lock Out/Tag Out trained. Complete special projects as assigned. Ability to pass equipment training successfully and maintain certification. Maintain a valid drivers license and be insurable on company insurance. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Required Education and Experience Requires education generally equivalent to a high school diploma. Preferred qualifications Previous material handling equipment experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively with employees of the organization. Ability and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to operate a personal computer or laptop and word processing, spreadsheet, and other software. Work Environment Work is performed in an onsite environment. When working onsite with various temperatures and floor surfaces and indoor and outdoor locations may work or work-related activities may be performed. On site, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and at times extended periods to support business operations. Must be able to work extended periods during the month of October.
