PART TIME FINANCE ASSISTANT – BARNSLEY

Hours of work: Monday to Thursday, 9am – 3pm & Friday, 9am – 2pm / 27 hours per week
Salary: £17,142.84 per annum (£12.21 per hour)
Contract type: Permanent

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Strong organisational skills are essential
• We welcome candidates from a range of backgrounds – whether you’ve just finished college and are eager to start your career in finance as a Trainee Finance Assistant, or you already have some experience and are looking for your next step
• Ideally, GCSE English and Maths at grades 5–6 or above
• Keen eye for detail and a willingness to learn
• Computer literate, with experience using Excel, Microsoft Word, and other Office applications
• Previous office experience is essential
• Previous finance sector experience is desirable

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Due to continued growth and expansion, we are recruiting for a Part Time Finance Assistant to join a local company in Barnsley on a permanent basis. This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills and experience in purchasing and office work, looking to further develop their career in accounts as a Trainee Finance Assistant.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Data inputting
• Processing, chasing and matching of invoices
• Reconciling supplier statements
• Preparing and running BACS payments
• Dealing with customers and suppliers via phone and email
• Supporting the Purchasing team and Accounts with various duties
• General reception duties, greeting and signing in visitors, and communicating with on-site drivers
