Description SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Food Service Supervisor, the Cook is part of a team responsible for food preparation and distribution for all clients in Santa Fe Recovery Center’s Residential Programs. Requirements DUTIES AND REPONSBILITIES: Responsible for meal preparation, meal service, and meal cleanup for breakfast, lunch, and dinner on scheduled workdays. Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen, labeling food according to requirements, and compliance with all other regulations of food safety for Food Establishment Permits. Ensures that kitchen meets standards for annual surprise Food Establishment Inspection at all times. Responsible for informing the Kitchen Supervisor of any needs related to ensuring food safety. In collaboration with other kitchen staff, ensures that all items needed for meal preparation are on hand. Receives food deliveries and ensures food is stored appropriately. Adheres to privacy and confidentiality regulations in accordance with Federal Law and SFRC confidentiality policies pertaining to the client identifying information and client health information. Interacts in a professional and supportive manner with clients. Meets special dietary needs of clients. Completes Safe Food Handling online training. Must be able to go grocery shopping as needed. Other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School/GED. Must have current Food Handlers Certificate. Well organized able to multi-task, work independently and enjoy working with people. Must attend all mandatory staff meetings and workshops. Must have and maintain a valid NM Driver’s License and auto insurance. Five (5) years’ experience in food establishment preferred.
Responsibilities
