OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optometric Assistant/Frame stylist to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the daily operations of our optometry practice. You will assist with various tasks, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for our patients while contributing to the overall success of our clinic.

SKILLS

  • Strong background in sales, particularly in retail or optical environments.
  • Experience in a medical office setting, with knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Excellent patient care skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in managing front desk responsibilities, including appointment scheduling.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems; experience with Visual Eyes is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.

  • Assist with patient history intake and record vital signs.
  • Help patients select appropriate eyewear and provide guidance on optical products.
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) using systems such as Visual Eyes.
  • Schedule appointments and manage front desk operations efficiently.
  • Perform preliminary tests and screenings as directed by the optometrist.
  • Educate patients on proper eye care and post-examination instructions.
  • Collaborate with the optometric team to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Handle sales transactions related to optical products and services.
