MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Human-Centered Design, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in graphic design, with a strong focus on HCD-informed outputs such as user journey visuals, service blueprints, and process storytelling.
  • Proven ability to create designs that prioritize usability, clarity, and empathy for diverse audiences.
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
  • Solid understanding of layout, typography, and color theory
  • Experience working within Agile teams, collaborating across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing human-centered design thinking, visual hierarchy, and ability to tell stories through design.
  • Experience with qualitative design research and incorporating user feedback into visual iterations.
  • Comfortable giving and receiving feedback, iterating rapidly, and communicating design rationale clearly.
Responsibilities
  • Apply Human-Centered Design principles to all visual outputs, ensuring that designs resonate with end-user needs and are grounded in empathy and usability.
  • Translate complex concepts into clear, intuitive visual assets including diagrams, slide decks, infographics, and marketing materials.
  • Design high-fidelity, user-friendly process flows that support technical documentation and system understanding.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to iterate on ideas and test visual solutions against real user goals.
  • Create and maintain visual templates that support storytelling and information clarity in both internal and client-facing presentations.
  • Develop cohesive digital assets (e.g., web graphics, social content) that are responsive and optimized across devices and channels.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining a design system that reinforces brand identity and accessibility standards.
  • Stay current on design tools, accessibility best practices, and evolving HCD methodologies.
