JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our small family company.

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid commercial driving licence (C+E or equivalent) with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a trunk driver, preferably with curtain sided trailers.
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in logistics.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
• Good physical fitness, as the role requires moving the curtains.
  The role involves trunking to either St Helens or Bilston Pallet Track hub, with a double deck trailer, where you will wait to be unloaded and return to base with an empty trailer. This typically takes 3 . 5 hours, although we pay for 4 hours to cover any delays.
  This position is ideal for anyone looking to ease themselves into retirement.

• Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policy.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations during transportation.
