Description Job Title: Histology Technician Reports To: Lab Administrator/Practice Administrator/Pathologist Department : Histology FLSA Status: Hourly, Part-time Non-Exempt Our group is seeking a talented histology technician for our pathology lab located in Charlotte, NC. This is a part-time position perfect for a highly motivated histology professional. The ideal candidate has experience working in a variety of histology lab settings and is familiar with manual and automated histology techniques. Must be a quick learner, flexible, a confident microtomist, have excellent attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills. In addition, the ideal candidate must be able to work independently. Major responsibilities include: Embedding Cutting Assisting with grossing/processing/staining as needed. Qualifications: Required: Associates Degree with at least 60 science credits Preferred: Bachelors Degree 5+ Years experience as a Hitoloogy Technician ASCP Certification Hours: Part-time, Monday – Friday, hours to be determined Salary: Competitive, dependent upon skill set and experience.
