Description
As a Hospitality Host you'll play a vital role in supporting the seamless execution of live performances at our historic venues. You'll fulfill backstage hospitality needs of artist management teams and special guests with the highest level of professionalism and attention to detail. You'll maximize pre-show time and balance priorities in a dynamic backstage environment. As the ideal candidate you'll provide thoughtful, unobtrusive assistance that contributes to the success of the event.   * Serve as liaison to artist management teams and venue management. Communicate with all partners to deliver exceptional guest service and personalized support to artists, crews, VIPs, and backstage guests throughout the event. * Coordinate backstage logistics. Oversee dressing room assignments, hospitality placement, and ensure artists attend soundchecks or rehearsals in a timely manner. * Set up and break down backstage hospitality areas for designated events. Maintain areas throughout the day and ensure they are restored for the next day. * Deliver supplies (food, beverage, equipment) to backstage hospitality areas as needed. Monitor backstage and VIP areas to ensure supply of food, beverages, utensils, etc. is maintained. * Procure specialty food and beverage items, including artist rider requests where applicable. Monitor budget as needed. * Maintain cleanliness and organization. Monitor and empty trash, wipe down surfaces, mop floors, wash dishes, utensils, tables, chairs, and kitchen areas. * Maintain backstage supply inventory. Take pre- and post-event beverage inventories as required. * Launder back of house towels and linens. Assist with artist laundry as needed. * Report security, maintenance, or housekeeping issues to the appropriate departments. Follow up with departments to ensure timely resolutions. * Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education * High school diploma or equivalent required Experience * 1+ years' of experience in customer service/hospitality required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Effective interpersonal and verbal communication skills * Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management * Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion * Able to work during peak times, including evenings, weekends and holidays, to support business needs Licenses / Certifications * Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record required * Must be 21+ years of age   Physical Requirements Speak, hear, and use non-verbal cues to communicate with clients. Use near, distance and color vision. Stand and walk for extended periods, including on uneven surfaces and while carrying items. Regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs., and frequently sit, kneel, bend, and reach to move goods. Walk up and down stairs while navigating the venue. Perform tasks that require manual dexterity.   Working Conditions Entertainment environments, indoors and outdoors, with large crowds and elevated noise levels. Frequently drive and shop to procure items for clients.
