Job description

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Good command of the English language is essential, both written and verbal
• Additional languages spoken would be an asset
• Must be neat, professional and well groomed
• At least 1 to 2 years previous hotel experience
• Must be a self motivator – work with little supervision times
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be in good physical condition, frequent pushing/pulling/reaching/stooping/handling and gripping is required
• Must be able to lift heavy loads (up to 75 lbs / 34 kg)
• Frequent lifting above the shoulder is also required
• Positive attitude and outgoing personality is essential
• Must be able to work shifts – days, evenings, weekends and holidays

Physical Requirements

• Will stand and walk for the majority of their position
• Frequent bending/stooping involved in many job tasks
• Squatting/ Kneeling used for carpet cleaners, scrubbing and scraping of floors
• Able to push/pull with force a linen/garbage cart, vacuum and mop estimated between 50-60 feet
• Occasionally reaching of hands and arms to retrieved garbage and linen
• Repetitive wrist movement and handling required for all cleaning duties

Working Conditions

• Generally in an indoor setting with the exception of cleaning balconies and outside windows, temperature during these duties is subject to seasonal variation Works in hallways and public areas of the hotel
