Position: Part-time Housekeeper/Cook
Schedule: 3 days a week (Monday, Tuesday & Thursday), 11am – 4pm or 12pm – 5pm
Location: Fairfield, CT
Salary: $34/hour

OVERVIEW:

Retired empty nester is looking for a Part-time Housekeeper to help maintain his CT home. The candidate must be proactive, detail oriented, and eager to take on a variety of responsibilities. Needs to be a self-starter with excellent systematic cleaning and laundry experience, and ability to help with simple cooking, periodically.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Honest, discreet and trustworthy
• Professional, good listener, able to follow directions
• Proactive, detail oriented and “can do” attitude
• Proficient with English language – spoken, reading and writing (communicating and reading “to do” lists, grocery lists, text exchanges, etc.)
• Must drive and have own car
• Previously vaccinated or willing to get vaccinated if needed

• Housekeeping / Cleaning: Responsible for deep cleaning of the home, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting, as appropriate, all floors and household surfaces. Particular attention to kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms. Major portion of job is cleaning and laundry.
• Laundry: Doing general laundry , including washing, folding and putting away clothes; changing sheets on bed; replacing bathroom towels, etc.
• Groceries: Using a grocery list that will be provided, check to see what groceries are needed; order weekly groceries through the Stop & Shop app for home delivery and put groceries away once delivered
• Cooking: Prepare simple lunches and/or dinners as needed (periodically, not on a daily basis, as needed)
