POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our Environmental Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This role plays an important part in supporting the health and well-being of everyone in our home.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous housekeeping or environmental services experience, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting
  • Knowledge of infection control practices and cleaning procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Physically capable of lifting, bending, and standing for long periods
  • Recent Vulnerable Sector Check required

Responsibilities
  • Clean resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and hallways according to daily and weekly schedules
  • Disinfect high-touch surfaces and ensure infection prevention protocols are followed
  • Launder linens and personal items as needed
  • Safely handle cleaning chemicals and supplies in accordance with WHMIS guidelines
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department
  • Work cooperatively with nursing, dietary, and other support services
  • Treat all residents with respect, dignity, and compassion
