Description General Purpose: Perform housekeeping and general maintenance services by keeping assigned areas clean, safe, and secure. Essential Functions: Daily Sanitation vacuum, sweep, mop, and spot clean floors Empty trash and recycling Sanitize restroom areas by disinfecting toilets, sinks, and counter-tops Wash general window area, both inside and outside Periodic Housekeeping Duties Carpet cleaning Floor waxing Light maintenance Notify Distribution Administrative Assistant when trash, or cardboard compactors, are full and in need of a pick-up Safety/Security/Maintenance Report and remove safety hazards Understand and follow procedures to handle and store chemicals properly Identify and report the need for major repairs to management Assist in helping monitor building security and safety (locker doors and scissor gates) Identify and report blocked fire extinguishers and exits Grounds Keeping Maintain general outside premises by picking up trash and emptying outside trash containers Requirements General knowledge of housekeeping Keen sense of observation and meticulous work ethic. Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Ability to work flexible hours including weekends Must have a current Texas Driver License and must be able to pass a background check Ability to run power equipment (sweeper, slow speed buffer, high speed buffer, carpet cleaning equipment) Ability and willingness to work indoors & outdoors in varying degrees of temperatures and weather conditions
