POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a Part-Time Industrial Painter to join our manufacturing team in Rathwell, MB. This role involves surface preparation, sandblasting, and painting steel products to ensure a durable and professional finish. Experience with polyurethane paints is considered a strong asset.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in industrial painting, surface prep, and/or sandblasting.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift to move products.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Ability to work safely in an industrial environment.
• Physically able to handle materials and equipment.

• Prepare steel components for coating, including cleaning, masking, and surface prep work.
• Sandblast steel components to remove rust, scale, and old coatings.
• Apply primers, polyurethane paints, and protective coatings using spray equipment.
• Operate a forklift to move and position products for prep, painting, and storage.
• Inspect finished work for quality and consistency.
• Maintain painting, sandblasting, prep, and forklift equipment.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and use appropriate PPE.
