Salary/Position Classification

  • $1700 for Master’s or $2000 for Doctorally prepared per credit per semester
  • Hours per week will vary between 5.34 and 8.01 depending on assigned class hours per week
  • Remote Work Availability: Possibly, depending on course assigned
  • Hybrid Work Availability: Possibly, depending on course assigned
  • On Campus Requirement: Possibly, depending on course assigned

Purpose of Position
This mission of the College of Nursing & Professional Disciplines (CNPD) is to provide excellent and collaborative education, scholarship, and service to advance human well-being for all, with an emphasis on rural and underserved populations.
The CNPD is comprised of three departments: Nursing, Nutrition & Dietetics, and Social Work.
The department of Social Work is seeking an adjunct instructor who will be responsible for the planning, presentation and evaluation of classroom instruction and all related activities.
A sampling of teaching assignments for Fall 2025 semester includes:
SWK 454, Generalist SWK Practice with Communities & Organizations
SWK 515, Generalist Practice Field Education I
SWK 582, Advanced Generalist Practice Field Education II
SWK 581, Advanced Generalist Practice Field Education Seminar I
SWK 533, Advanced Generalist Practice Field Education Seminar II
The position may be offered again in future semesters.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Planning, presentation and evaluation of classroom instruction and all related activities.

Minimum Requirements

  • MSW degree earned from a CSWE-accredited Social Work program
  • Two years of full-time post-MSW social work practice experience
  • Ability to hold a ND Social Work license
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
