Description Position Summary The Part Time Personal Fitness Trainer Instructor will teach and prepare Advanced Training Institute students for employment in the field as a Personal Fitness Trainer and prepare them for NASM certification. The instructor must have a caring attitude and a desire to help students achieve their academic and career goals. Program instruction will consist of lectures and hands-on training. LAM PFT Job Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide structured lectures that align with program textbooks Provide hands-on training that aligns with program content Review and revise program syllabi as needed to align with industry standards Review and revise program lesson plans as needed to align with program syllabi Provide, administer, and grade student examinations Provide modular competency assessments Monitor and update student attendance daily Provide weekly academic and attendance advisings Attend all required campus meetings Assist with classroom and lab coverage as needed Other duties as assigned Requirements Education and Experience Requirements 2 years or more verifiable field experience in the field of personal fitness First Aid and CPR Certification required NASM certified or currently working on obtaining NASM certification Must be current with Personal Training Certifications Minimum education requirement: bachelor’s degree LAM PFT Job Description Abilities Must be knowledgeable in the use of a variety of gym equipment Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. or greater Must possess an athletic level of strength and cardio Must be able to perform basic, fundamental movements including sitting, standing, squatting, hinging, pulling, pressing, and lifting Must be able to maintain repetitive movement LAM PFT Job Description Work Environment Must be able to tolerate indoor and outdoor weather conditions Classes are held on ground, in person Will make physical contact with students when teaching and/or correcting movements
Responsibilities
