Description SUMMARY Keeps plants in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties. This position is part time, weekday, and day shift hours. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Sweeps, mops and scrubs around all presses and machinery in production areas, shipping/receiving areas, toolroom, restrooms and all hallways and office spaces. Empties trash, recycling and garbage containers throughout the plants daily. Cleans all restrooms thoroughly according to maintenance schedule. Cleans snow and debris from sidewalk. Picks up debris from all exterior property as necessary. Maintains stock of janitorial supplies utilizing the established Kanban system. Washes windows, inside and out, weather permitting. May work in other areas of either plant based on production requirements. May be required to work off shifts as needed. Other duties may be assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Requirements LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
