About the Role KELA is a leading provider of Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI). We are seeking a Part-Time Japanese Translator to ensure our intelligence reports are delivered to our Japanese-speaking clients with the highest degree of professionalism and linguistic precision. In this role, you will be the voice of our intelligence, converting complex English reports into high-standard Japanese. While your primary focus will be technical reporting, you will also have the opportunity to support our marketing initiatives and occasionally provide interpretation for key client sessions. Key Responsibilities Intelligence Reporting: Translate high-level CTI reports, threat briefings, and technical analysis from English to Japanese. Quality Assurance: Deliver "client-ready" professional translations that maintain the nuance, tone, and urgency of the original source. Marketing Support: Occasionally support the marketing team in translating promotional materials, blog posts, and website content to maintain brand consistency in the Japanese market. Interpretation: Provide occasional interpretation support during sessions between company representatives and Japanese clients (required on a rare, ad-hoc basis). Requirements What We Are Looking For Linguistic Excellence: Native-level Japanese and Near-Native/Professional English. Exceptional writing skills in Japanese are mandatory. Translation Experience: 3+ years of professional translation experience, ideally within a corporate or technical environment. Added Advantage: Prior experience or familiarity with Cybersecurity or CTI terminology is highly desirable but not required. Attention to Detail: An uncompromising eye for accuracy and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. Reliability: Ability to manage your own schedule and meet deadlines consistently in a fast-paced environment.
