Job Description As a Kitchen Porter at Potters Resorts Five Lakes, you will play a key role in supporting the kitchen team by ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. You will assist in food preparation, washing dishes, and maintaining kitchen equipment and utensils, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness are upheld. Key Responsibilities: Clean and sanitize kitchen dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and cooking equipment. Ensure all kitchen work areas, including floors and surfaces, are kept clean and hygienic. Assist with food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients, and helping chefs as needed. Collect and dispose of kitchen waste in a safe and efficient manner. Ensure that all food and equipment are stored properly to maintain health and safety standards. Assist with deliveries, ensuring stock is organized and stored appropriately. Follow safety procedures and maintain hygiene standards in line with Food Safety regulations. Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with colleagues and supervisors. Adhere to the company’s health and safety policies and procedures. Hours: Part-time role, up to 32 hours per week Straight shifts – no split shifts! Shifts will be either, or a combination of: 7:30am – 4:00pm 12:30pm – 9:00pm 3:00pm – 11:30pm Pay: Earn between £10.00 and £12.21 per hour, depending on your age Qualifications Previous experience in a kitchen environment is advantageous but not essential. A good understanding of hygiene and food safety standards. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A positive and proactive attitude with the ability to work well as part of a team. Flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
