QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge and experience in the operation of industrial laundry equipment
• Meet requirements of a Physical Demand Analysis (PDA) for the position
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English, both verbally and in writing
• Basic computer skills

• Using specified cleaning/ disinfecting/sanitizing agents, and following specific procedures, work patterns, and routines, performs tasks such as:
• Ensures privacy of residents during performance of duties.
• Adheres to established company policies and procedures regarding quality assurance, fire, and safety.
• Identify and meet residents’ clothing and laundry needs in a timely and caring manner
• Iron, mend, alter, and label residents’ personal clothing
• Take full responsibility for the delivery of residents’ personal clothing and linens
• Keep detailed and accurate records of residents’ clothing and rooms as required
• Demonstrate courtesy, a positive attitude, responsibility and excellence
• Communicate with residents, staff, families with regard to residents’ personal clothing
• Follow established isolation procedures and techniques relating to processing of linens
• Attend work on a regular basis
• Communicate residents’ concerns and suggestions to the appropriate individual within the Home
• Prioritize daily job tasks in order to ensure completion
• Promote trust, respect, and cooperation with co-workers through open and honest dialogue
• Work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision
• Carry on duties as assigned by Support Services Manager
