PART-TIME LAUNDRY DRIVER

Location: Central Laundry Facility, Unit 10E Solent Trade Park, Solent Road, Havant (delivering to care homes across Hampshire)
Hours: Part-time, 12 hrs/week
Shifts: Monday, Wednesday & Friday – 06:00–10:00 AM
Salary: £12.50/hour

JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Laundry Driver to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of fresh laundry to our care homes. The ideal candidate will have delivery experience, excellent communication skills, and a strong focus on safety and professionalism. Experience with larger vehicles such as Luton vans is desirable.

REQUIREMENTS

• Full, clean UK driving licence (commercial driving licence an advantage)
• Proven experience as a driver or in a similar delivery role
• Understanding of operating larger vehicles such as Luton vans
• Ability to handle laundry bags and undertake light physical work
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to safety and high standards of cleanliness
• Caring and respectful attitude towards care home residents

• Safely operate company vehicles to collect and deliver laundry between our facility and care homes
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks to ensure safety and compliance
• Handle, load, and unload laundry with care, maintaining high hygiene standards
• Follow scheduled routes and delivery times to ensure efficiency
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage and fuel usage
• Communicate effectively with care home staff and colleagues regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays
• Provide a friendly, professional service when interacting with staff and residents
