Are you passionate about education? Do you have a strong eye for detail and a desire to support students in their learning journey? Kumon is looking for a motivated Lead Assistant Grader to join our team on a part-time basis!
Position: Part-Time Lead Assistant Grader
Location: Unit 203B, 370 University Avenue East, Waterloo, N2K 3N2
Schedule: 15-20 hours per week, flexible afternoon to evenings/weekends
Pay: Competitive hourly wage, based on experience

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in grading.
  • A passion for working with children and supporting their learning.
  • Previous experience with Kumon, tutoring, or teaching is a plus, but not required.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities
  • Grade and provide feedback on student worksheets in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Monitor student progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Support students during their independent study sessions.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance.
  • Assist with classroom management such as folder preparation, sheet filling and ensure a positive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with lead instructor to ensure students are receiving appropriate support.
  • Communicate with student parent and resolve any queries as needed.
  • Assist with new student placement and achievement tests.
  • Manage graders time schedules as needed.
