For more information about the University, please visit https://www.hkmu.edu.hk We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Arts and Social Sciences: Major Duties and Responsibilities The appointees will mainly be responsible for the course planning, development and delivery of the full-time face-to-face undergraduate programmes. The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following: conducting lectures and tutorials; writing lecture notes, designing and marking of assignments/examination scripts; and performing other related teaching and administrative duties. They should have a deep understanding of microeconomics at the intermediate level (e.g., Hal Varian's Intermediate Microeconomics: A Modern Approach). English fluency is required. Relevant teaching experience at the tertiary level would be an advantage. ENGL 1102AEF Presentation Skills A recognized higher degree in English Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, TESOL or a related discipline. Relevant teaching experience at tertiary level would be an advantage. ENGL 3040AEF Special Topic(s) in Cultural Studies A recognized Master’s degree / higher degree, which included the study of English language, literature and culture plus experience in teaching relevant English literature courses. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience in tertiary education and a PhD in related discipline. LANG 3143AEF Sociolinguistic Issues in Hong Kong A recognized higher degree in Linguistics, Sociolinguistics or Applied linguistics. Relevant teaching and/ research experience would be an advantage. POLS 3001AEF Chinese Foreign Policy Applicants should possess a higher degree, preferably an earned doctorate, in Political Science, Policy Studies or International Relations or a related discipline. POLS 3003AEF Contemporary Chinese Politics Applicants should possess a higher degree, preferably an earned doctorate, in Political Science, Policy Studies or a related discipline.
