We are looking for a part-time ledger and administrative assistant to join our team in Macmerry Industrial Estate.
This busy and varied role involves liaising with clients and colleagues alike via the telephone, email and face to face. A polite, personable and helpful manner alongside fluency in spoken and written English being imperative.
Office opening hours: Monday - Thursday 7am - 3.30pm and Friday 7am - 2.30pm.
Hours to be agreed as suits both parties and for the right candidate: we have no firm requirements but are ideally looking for daily presence 10-2pm (earlier or longer) and preferably a full day Friday. Flexibility to cover holidays/sick would be required on occasion.
Required skills:
Highly organised and proactive nature with strong attention to detail
Good time keeping, reliability and flexibility to cover the office in an autonomous manner
Multi-tasking ability with capability to maintain accuracy
Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.) is essential with experience of Sage being an advantage
Ability to work cohesively within a small team whilst maintaining own initiative
Duties will include but not be exclusive to:
Answering calls that come into reception
Dealing with enquiries
Inputting projects onto the system
Timesheet and employee attendance maintenance
Ordering supplies, booking travel, sorting and distributing mail
Filing and collating project paperwork in cohesion with engineering managers
Purchase and sales ledger processing/control
Financial remitting
General office support
Weekly payroll processing
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.69-£13.13 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
