Description Job Summary: The Line Cook is responsible for preparing food items in accordance with recipes and quality standards. Working on a specific station or section of the kitchen line, the Line Cook ensures timely and consistent production of high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment, while following food safety and sanitation guidelines. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes, portion sizes, and presentation guidelines. Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the station throughout service. Assist with prep work, including chopping vegetables, making sauces, and marinating proteins. Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures at all times. Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff and front-of-house team. Manage ticket orders efficiently during busy service hours. Alert the manager to any equipment issues or food shortages. Help with closing duties, including cleaning, restocking, and proper storage of food. Requirements Qualifications: Previous experience in a professional kitchen preferred (but not always required) Knowledge of food safety regulations and culinary techniques Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Team player with good communication skills Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods of time Lift and carry up to 50 lbs Work near hot equipment and sharp tools
