Description
The position does NOT have a regular part-time schedule. You will to work seven (7) to eight (8) days per month. Any additional days will be based on business needs. Onsite Monday-Friday | 7:30AM - 4:00PM on some days may stay until 4:30PM depending on department need. Job Purpose or Objective(s): Process incoming and outgoing mail to ensure Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma tribal members receive information in a timely manner. Primary Tasks: Collect, sort, and deliver incoming, outgoing, interdepartmental and/or address bulk mail according to USPS requirements. Operate mail metering machines and electronic accounting system. Process all classes of mail including express mail and private carriers to ensure adherence to proper size, weight, postage and other postal requirements. Sort and separate bulk mail addressing labels per USPS designated delivery routes. Log and deliver packages, certified and registered mail when assigned to service station. Prepare and process necessary paperwork related to mail services; maintains records on quantities and descriptions of materials received and distributed. Organize and restock mail processing materials. Other duties may be assigned. Requirements: A High School Diploma or GED Familiar with mail meter machine and software Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task Basic knowledge of postal regulations Ability to effectively communicate. Ability to work accurately with attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality and use appropriate judgment in handling information and records. Ability to address and resolve customer situations. Have strong sense of customer service. Basic experience with Microsoft Office applications Must be able to lift at least 30 pounds.
