For more information about the University, please visit https://www.hkmu.edu.hk We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Arts and Social Sciences: Part-time Manager (Production) Major Duties and Responsibilities The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following: Assisting the team in managing the production timeline, ensuring deliverables are completed on schedule, and coordinating agreements/contracts with participants; Acting as the primary liaison among production teams, directors, post-production studios, and external vendors to ensure smooth communication and alignment; Overseeing post-production processes, including asset management, workflow coordination, and quality assurance for editing, sound mixing, and color grading; Managing the preparation and delivery of final distribution files, assisting with screenings, and supporting submissions to international animation short film festivals; and Performing any other ad hoc duties as assigned. The appointee may be required to work outside normal office hours. Candidates Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence: A recognized degree with at least 3 years’ relevant post-qualification working experience, preferably in the film and creative industry; Good abilities in project management related to film production; Strong problem-solving skills, interpersonal and communication skills, multi-tasking and time management skills, and the ability to work under pressure and complete tasks independently; Self-motivated and detail-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility and good with problem solving; Good information technology skills including MS Office tools and data analysis tools etc.; and Good command of English and Chinese, including Putonghua. Remuneration You shall be paid by an hourly rate on monthly basis with provision of MPF scheme in accordance with the prevailing guidelines, if applicable. Duration of Appointment The appointee(s) will be required to work for the period from January 2026 to January 2027. Your hours of work may vary by course. Your weekly hours of work shall normally be capped below 17 hours per week (including other part-time appointments taken up by you in the University, if any).
