JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a part-time Administrator who will also have Receptionist duties to join our team to assist in the day to day running of a busy private medical practice in Central London, managing patients with balance problems, hearing issues and tinnitus. The successful candidate will be expected to work efficiently and professionally as part of our team. Previous experience in medical administration / PA essential.
Location: Devonshire Place, London W1
Job Type: Part-time
Hours: 22.5 hours per week, working 8.45 AM to 1.15 PM, Monday to Friday (flexibility on working times will be necessary for cross-cover of colleagues’ leave)
Salary: £25,000 - 28,000 pro rata, per annum (dependent on candidates experience). An hourly rate will be paid for any additional hours worked.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Must have a background in medical administration / PA
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must also have good IT skills
  • Ability to quickly learn and become fluent with the software systems we use
  • Ability to resolve queries in a timely and efficient manner
    -Ability to organise and prioritise work
    Start date : Preferably as soon as possible.

    Pay: £13,000.00-£15,000.00 per year

Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The role will involve administrative / PA and reception duties as follows:
- Responding to email and telephone queries and messages
- Meeting and greeting patients and taking payments
-Listening and responding to voicemail messages
-Diary management, booking, confirming and cancelling appointments
-Invoicing, Billing and Payment Tracking
- Manage deliveries, couriers and post
- To provide polite and efficient telephone responses for patients and other callers
- To work with the rest of the team to ensure the smooth running of the clinic.
- General housekeeping of the clinic, including keeping the waiting area tidy and stocked with refreshments.
-Filing
- Will also be expected to be flexible and cover annual leave of other staff.
