Location: Fairfax Ambulatory Care Clinic, Fairfax, VA Schedule: Part-Time-Monday-Friday Schedule will is between 7am-3:30pm EST and Saturday 7am-12noon

Requirements:

  • The job qualifications for this position are as follows: A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • One year of experience as an administrative technician, in medical environment, using full range of equipment used in medical office environment
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office applications Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Shall be able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate with patients and other staff members.
  • Have knowledge of computer operations and proficiency in the use of basic word processing, data entry, and automated records.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must have either an active passport with current legal name or DMV Driver’s License with REAL ID

Responsibilities
  • Perform receptionist duties and other various clerical tasks to assist staff members as necessary
  • will float between various departments - behavioral health, primary care and urgent care
  • Check in/register patients and convey patients’ needs between providers and nurses
  • Answer inquiries, verify and obtain information for general public, customers, visitors and update the Data system if needed
  • Verify patient information and make correction if needed with each request for an outpatient visit. Responsible for registering new patients in the Composite Health Care system
