Join Us as a Membership Assistant! We’re seeking a community-oriented and mission-driven Membership Assistant to support our Membership department. This is a part-time, non-exempt, on-site role expected to work hours 15-19 per week. Flexible availability is required. If you are interested in working in the community and want to learn more about the cooperative movement, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities include: In coordination with the Membership Manager, address member/customer inquiries and concerns, coordinate the Co-op’s response in a professional manner, and ensure proper follow-through and resolution in a timely manner. Support the Membership Manager, input, and monitor working member credit. Support the Membership Manager in responding to membership inquiries, including member benefits, discounts, equity investments, and how to join the Co-op, the working member program, and resigning from the Co-op. Cover office hours to assist members, as directed by the Membership Manager and Store Managers. Assist Membership Manager with annual member satisfaction survey and other survey efforts. Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of member and customer data. Maintain an adequate supply of membership supplies at all locations, including member brochures, member guides, member cards, business cards, member forms, and any promotional materials during special promotions Observe all Weavers Way policies and procedures Attend membership and outreach meetings, as needed Requirements A commitment to the mission and goals of Weavers Way Co-op. Ability to collaborate and work well in a team setting Ability to supervise cooperators Ability to speak and communicate effectively with members, shoppers, and staff Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment, when necessary Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, meticulous record-keeping, and consistent follow-through on commitments Basic knowledge of cooperative principles and movement Accurate and precise data entry skills, attention to detail, and strong computer skills; prior experience in a similar capacity preferred Flexible schedule required (job includes attendance at events/meetings that may be during the evenings and/or on weekends.) Valid driver’s license and clean driving record Access to reliable transportation for travelling between stores and attending off-site events Job requires some heavy lifting (moving tables, chairs, tents, etc., for events) Be, or become upon hiring, a member in good standing of Weavers Way Co-op.
