JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part Time Net Pusher for the Kehoe Forum. This role is essential in supporting our athletic events and ensuring that all equipment is properly managed during games and practices. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sports and a commitment to providing excellent support to our teams.
Responsibilities include moving nets for the ice resurfacer, shoveling snow, chipping ice, and cleaning player benches between rentals. Additional duties include cleaning dressing rooms, restocking supplies, and general facility maintenance. Shifts primarily run from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM on weekdays and between 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM on weekends.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in a sports-related environment is preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Good physical stamina, as the role involves lifting and moving equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team setting.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
  • A passion for sports and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
    Shift Hours: 4 hours to 8-hour shifts. Part time hours from 8 hours to 20 hours a week. Max 36 hours/week.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and take down nets before and after events, ensuring they are properly secured.
  • Shovel excess snow from the ice surface and around the boards.
  • Chip away built-up ice at thresholds and along the boards.
  • Assist with the organization of equipment and supplies for various sports activities.
  • Monitor the condition of nets and report any damage or needed repairs to management.
  • Provide support to coaches and players during practices and games as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment around the playing area.
  • Assist in cleaning dressing rooms and common areas.
  • Restock supplies such as toilet paper and paper towels as needed.
  • Support Rink Attendants with general facility upkeep.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operations during events.
